Integrity and Professionalism

Recently we received a copy of this email sent to the Burnley Council regarding our services.

"As you can imagine due to the nature of our work we receive a lot of complaints in relation to landlords about poor condition, poor management practices, unlawful evictions; and even intelligence sharing in relation to serious organised crime.

Despite this we know there are many landlords and managing agents that work professionally providing excellent standards but it so nice when we hear it from other people which is why I wanted to share the email with you.

Regards Clare

Subject: The flooding issue between 9 & 11 Granby Street, Burnley, Lancs, BB12 0PP

Good morning Clare,

Well I hope?

Clare, you may recall, a few weeks ago, there was an issue whereby the kitchen ceiling and wall became extremely damp due to what was obviously a water leak. This happened on Saturday evening, was reported on the following Sunday and it was not until Monday, that I could get an emergency plumber in to do the necessary fix

It turned out that the tenant had been playing with the central heating system and caused the flooding in No 11 Granby Street which then impacted No 9.

I was not best pleased as around that time I was ‘firefighting’ on so many property issues for homes2love [leaking showers and a flood in a property in south London]

Well I’m sending this e-mail as I would like the Licencing Team at Burnley Council know that the actions taken by both the Landlord [Mohammed Butt] and the Letting Agent [RPC – led by Mujeeb Rehman] have been exemplary

These guys have just been absolutely amazing and are a credit to their profession – they have handled this issue with great integrity and professionalism

On being alerted that there was a problem by a member of your team, Steve from RPC immediately went out to 11 Granby Street to turn off the water to stop further ingress

Mohammed [the landlord] was brilliant in no questions asked, paying for the emergency plumbing visit and has since sent in his team to repair/repaint the ceiling and wall in the kitchen and repair the kitchen light

Often Landlord’s & Letting Agents come in for such a bad press, so it’s great when  there are shining examples when this trend is bucked

Please can you kindly feed this back to your team

Kind regards,

Nice Professional People

Good morning Mujeeb

I hope you and your team are well.

Just a quick note to say thank you to you and your team for looking after my property and the rental aspect. Every time I had cause to contact the office I was met with good service, nice professional people and people who knew me and the property and who were always happy to deal with my queries.

The property is now sold and I have returned the license form to the council as requested.

Thanks once again for all your help.

Kind regards.

Tina.

Landlord Licence application and RPC's help

Dear Mujeeb and all the team at RPC,

Thank you for helping me with the Landlord License on-line application.  When I tried to do it myself I had nothing but problems with the forms, the website, and the information they required.  I did read them, but the instructions on the website were not at all clear to me.  Happily you offered to complete the forms, and sent me pdf files for my approval prior to submitting it.  It was also very good that you helped us complete the License Holder's forms and showed me how to apply for the Scotland Disclosure.

The extra burden of the license application is not just the fee per property, but the worry about correct completion of the forms, and the time consuming activity of actually entering everything on the on-line forms.  Thanks to RPC that is now completed and I am a compliant landlord!

Best wishes

Nick ( Malta)

Proficiency & Professionalism

After struggling with a few unreliable letting agents over some years, we found Mujeeb Rehman & RPC Lettings over 10 years ago. We transferred our 3 properties to him and have never looked back. We had difficult properties and struggles along the way but were so well supported by Mujeeb and his staff that our journey became manageable. Their proficiency & professionalism was executed in such a personal, prompt and attentive manner that one would be forgiven for thinking one was the only Landlord they were attending to. Unlike other agencies we used, RPC never failed to find tenants within a short space of time. Our rents were paid timeously and all other services were provided efficiently with dedication and care. The fact that staff remain with RPC Lettings year on year is a testament to a happy and well-run company thus providing landlords with continuity and confidence. Other agencies may charge a lower Management fee but in my experience the fees charged by RPC are absolutely justified in respect of their first class service and the reduction of stress for the Landlord. We have no hesitation in recommending this agency above all others.

In Safe Hands

Since RPC Lettings took over as Lettings Agents for my properties I have found them to be completely professional.  The Inspections they carry out are thorough and if jobs need to be done they are carried out as quickly as possible after consultation with the Landlord. If you phone the Office with a query then they deal with it and come back to you with a reply soon afterwards.  They inform you of any new laws regarding Landlords. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. I would recommend them to any new Landlords as I have nothing but praise for them as they are efficient and I know my houses are in safe hands.
